“Good transport gear”
Koromiko Engineering use printed mudflaps from TransQuip to fit out their trucks. Derek says TransQuip have a good range of transport gear. He has sourced a range of products from toolboxes and reflective tape to fire extinguishers and their cabinets from TransQuip, along with the black rubber mudflaps his customers prefer.
A feed and some feedback.
Along with their reliable, prompt service, Derek and his team appreciated a recent morning tea with Michael Hoyle, Customer Solutions Consultant in the Bay of Plenty area at TransQuip. This was an opportunity for the Koromiko Engineering team to give feedback on TransQuip’s products and services and learn more about the range, particularly products of interest. It was a good catch-up, and the sausage rolls, savouries, and donuts were good, too!
Customisation and options
The TransQuip-stocked range has something to suit everyone, along with customisation and New Zealand-printed options.
TransQuip rubber groove black mudflap 610x450mm (24x18in) are Koromiko’s favourite, and are practical in industries which have tip trucks, because of the flexibility, ticking the boxes for Derek.

Who is Koromiko Engineering Ltd?
Koromiko Engineering is a highly specialised, company based in Omanu, Bay of Plenty, building custom bodies for trucks of all sizes.
A 41-year industry veteran, Managing Director, Derek Haywood worked his way up from an apprentice to owning the business. He now employs six staff in the busy engineering workshop.
Derek enjoys the combination of design and engineering that sees the project to completion.
The company designs and manufactures bodies for everything from logging trucks to flat decks for gas companies, and local government and curtain-side trucks. If you’ve seen a truck in the Bay of Plenty, chances are, they’ll have built it.
